Green Beans with Almonds

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Green Beans
  • 2 Tbsp Almond Slivers
  • 3 Clove Garlic

Instructions
 

  • Steam green beans until preferred texture. I prefer al dente.
  • While beans are cooking, lightly toast almonds.
  • Using a garlic press, mince the garlic cloves.
  • Melt butter in small pan and add garlic.
  • Toss beans with garlic butter and 2/3 of the almonds. Move to bowl and cover with the remainder of the almonds.

  • 2 Cup Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredient until smooth.
  • cut into small dumplings or push through colander.
  • Cook in boiling water.

Flour Tortilla

Servings 10 tortilla

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cup Flour
  • 6 Tbs Shortening or Lard
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Cup water

Instructions
 

  • Work shortening/lard into flour.
  • Stir in water gradually until dough forms
  • Knead until smooth.
  • Divide into 10 pieces.
  • Roll out as thin as possible.
  • Cook on hot ungreased skillet

Fried Rice

Fried Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Cooked Rice Left over or cold rice is best
  • 1/2 Cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 1/2 Cup Cooked Chicken or Pork (optional)
  • 2 tsp Sesame Seeds (optional)
  • 1 Egg scrambled
  • Soy Sauce to taste
  • 1 tbps Sesame Oil

Instructions
 

  • In small bowl, scramble egg.
  • Heat frying pan over medium high heat. Add sesame seeds and heat for 1 minute.
  • Add sesame oil and heat.
  • Add mixed vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add rice to pan. Stir constantly. Add soy sauce to taste.
  • Add chicken and continue to stir for 3 - 5 minutes.
  • Rice, vegetables, and meat to side of pan. Add 1/2 tsp oil to pan. Add egg. Stir egg while cooking to break into small pieces.
  • Stir eggs into rice mixture.
